Author visits can change the way young readers relate to the texts they read—and unearth in students undiscovered passions, talents, ideas, and career visions. Helena Haywoode Henry is available for in-person and virtual school visits, offering large group presentations and smaller, Socratic-style seminars that encourage student engagement and participation. Educators can request craft-focused presentations and/or academic visits that invite students to ponder and debate the legal, sociological, and policy questions raised by Henry’s work. Presentations and small group discussions can also offer writing guidance, publishing industry insight, and Q&A opportunities.
